This one comes from the always interesting r/Edmonton. A user named Horror-Trick-8970 and their roommate were leaving their apartment near downtown around 10PM. When from behind the bushes a large jet-black dog-like creature ran out chasing a rabbit. OP described to have matted fur and was growling. One Reddit user suggests it could have been a feral dog.

Other users chimed in saying it could have been a coyote with mange. But the OP said that it was too large to be a coyote since the creature was as tall would have reached his hip in height. The OP is over 183cm (6 feet) tall. Despite what the creature could have been a coyote, it still made OP uneasy.

Op had a tough time describing the beast since it was dark outside. The creature did remind him of greyhound dog but with pointy ears. They described the beast as almost ethereal, and you could see the mist come off its breath.

This event of course left OP uneasy but also that such a creature could be hunting in an urban area. Was this some ethereal beast or a coyote with mange? What do you think?
